The annual Heathfield & District Agricultural Show is the highlight of the calendar bringing thousands of visitors to the town on the last Saturday of May to coincide with the Spring Bank Holiday weekend.
Le Marché Anglo French market is also another very popular event held annually on August Bank Holiday Monday.
The Avenue Verte is a cycle route from Paris to London stretching 406 km and which passes through Heathfield. The French section, linking Paris to the Channel port of Dieppe, measures 246 km. It follows special traffic-free greenways (voies vertes) with some tracks being shared with motorists.
