Stretching over 11 miles, the once an old railway line, is now a walking and cycling route that winds its way through idyllic countryside, tranquil woodlands, and characterful villages, providing the perfect setting to spend a morning, afternoon or an entire day.

For cycling enthusiasts, the off road, paved path, with gentle gradients is an enjoyable route whether you're a seasoned cyclist or just learning, the trail caters to all skill levels.

Being part of the National Cycle Network (NCN), it is a popular route for endurance cyclists and families alike, with a 3-mile extension to the south connecting Polegate and Hampden Park, the Cuckoo Trail can be a 26-mile round trip or a leisurely outing, joining the route at any of the five towns along the way.

For those who prefer a more leisurely pace, explore the trail’s beauty on foot, taking in the sights and sounds of the surrounding countryside. Discover its unique nature from wildflowers to ancient woodlands, it’s a hidden gem waiting to be explored.
