Springle is a brand-new springtime event for Wealden – we’re inviting our communities to come together through performance, creativity and shared local experiences.
Taking place across two weekends, it opens on Saturday 18th April with Springle Hailsham: a striking outdoor spectacle taking place on the High Street. Come along to experience Lampadophores – a joyful procession created by French street theatre company Picto Facto – featuring giant inflatable puppets, live music and acrobatic performers. The town centre will be transformed into a playful, immersive celebration for people of all ages to enjoy.
It will continue on Saturday 25th April with Springle Uckfield: a free daytime celebration designed especially for families and the community at Luxford Field. Enjoy walkabout performances, storytelling and hands-on activities in a relaxed outdoor setting. Everyone (including you!) is also invited to take part in a craft-making workshop and joyful parade.
Springle is all about coming together. Join us as we celebrate the arrival of spring through the creativity and community that make Wealden what it is, in the places we share every day.
