The Cowshed and Dairy Cottage, Bodle Street, near Herstmonceux, East Sussex are set on a beef and arable farm in the peaceful Sussex Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The Cowshed has been converted and furnished to a high standard and with its wide doorways, planned to cater for both able and less able guests.

The spacious open plan lounge/kitchen/diner has a vaulted ceiling with many exposed beams and overlooks a large pond, which is fenced, and home to resident ducks.

In addition to the king and twin, bedrooms there is also an optional twin bedroom (POA) with en suite shower room accessed through the first twin bedroom. This is ideal for children or a carer.

 

Dairy Cottage is a single storey cottage in a quiet location with extensive rural views from the lounge.

The open plan lounge/kitchen/diner leads out through the patio door to the garden lawn, with patio furniture and BBQ area.

The comfortable living accommodation has a wealth of character with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams.

The double bedroom has an en-suite shower, toilet and basin, while the twin room has electric beds and easy access to the spacious wet floor shower room suitable for wheelchair users.

Both properties are an ideal base for the seaside, only 7 miles away at Pevensey Bay, National Trust properties and gardens, or walking on the South Downs.

The local pub is only 3 minutes’ walk away where they serve good local food.
