The old priory building of Michelham Priory, surrounded by snow

About

Celebrate the festive season at Michelham Priory’s Christmas Fayre and discover over 800 years of history while enjoying Sussex’s seasonal delights.

The Elizabethan Great Barn will be brimming with stalls offering gifts and treats – an ideal start to your Christmas shopping.

Families can visit Santa in his grotto, where children will receive a small gift (free of charge, with donations welcome). There will also be festive arts and crafts for little ones to enjoy.

Throughout the weekend, The CSharps and The Seaside Singers will fill the air with Christmas music, creating a joyful atmosphere.

The Michelham Bowmen and Wolsfhead Bowmen will bring history to life with archery and reenactment displays, taking place either inside the main house or out in the grounds.

Founded in 1229, this former Augustinian Priory – complete with medieval moat, historic architecture, and peaceful gardens – provides a truly magical setting for a festive day out.
