About

Hailsham Festival of Arts and Culture celebrates its 20th anniversary!

Held each September, Hailsham Festival showcases professional and amateur talent, creativity and imagination in the market town of Hailsham and the surrounding area. The programme features a wide range of events, including art, music, dance, drama, creative writing, poetry and film.

Performances and exhibitions take place at venues across the town, including the iconic Hailsham Pavilion, Summerheath Hall and Hailsham Parish Church.

This year's theme is The World Around Us. Alongside the festival's usual diverse programme, a number of events will explore the environment, sustainability and ways we can help protect the world around us for future generations.

For an overview of the events taking place during the 2026 festival, visit the festival website or view the Festival At a Glance section, where you can browse the programme and click on individual events for more information.

In keeping with the festival's commitment to inclusivity, more than half of the 30 events are free to attend, with several others priced at £5 or less.
