Step back through time on this intriguing archaeology walk around the Cuckmere with Archaeologist Gary. This fascinating journey will reveal the layers of history hidden within this extraordinary chalk landscape, inviting you to look more closely at the marks left by past communities and the stories still held within the Downs. With its rich heritage and sweeping scenery, it promises to be an absorbing way to see Seven Sisters from a fresh perspective.

You can sign up for more activities to make the best of your visit to the iconic Seven Sisters.

We recommend that attendees wear clothing suitable for the weather. Paths may be uneven and steep, so sturdy footwear is advised.

Expect around two and a half hours of easy riverside walking, with time to pause and admire earthworks and consider what they may once have meant in the life of this landscape.
