Walking

Visitors can choose either a leisurely stroll or a more challenging walk.

The Cuckoo Trail runs through Wealden and is a former railway line, ideal for walkers and cyclists.

The High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has been described as one of England's finest landscapes and has been protected by government legislation since 1983. It covers a wide area of Wealden as well as some of the bordering counties of Kent & Surrey.

The famous South Downs National Park borders the south of the district and covers the chalk hills of the South Downs, which on the English Channel coast form the white cliffs of the Seven Sisters and Beachy Head.
