About

The only open and working trestle post mill in the UK, the design of Nutley Windmill dates back to the 12th century; therefore, it can be considered one of the earliest wind mills in this country. Located in Ashdown Forest, it is run by volunteers from Uckfield Heritage, who have restored and maintained the building. As part of the Heritage Open Days festival, Nutley Windmill's open day on the 14th September will be an opportunity to see the machinery inside the building and hear information from our expert guides.
