About

Described as “one of the most charming clubs” it was founded in 1904. The course was constructed on Piltdown Common near to the Piltdown Pond. It has no sand bunkers and is not particularly long, just over 6000 yards from the medal tees. The terrain is fairly level but narrow fairways, small greens and an abundance of heather and gorse make for challenging golf.
