Uckfield is an attractive market town combining situated on the southern boundary of the High Weald are of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with the Ashdown Forest nearby. The River Uck meanders through the town.

The vibrant High Street offers an interesting alternative to the usual town centre shopping experience, including an old-style traditional cinema and more contemporary shops and eateries. Towards the lower end of the high street visitors will find a pedestrianised shopping area, Bell Walk.

Uckfield is host to many events, including the traditional bonfire and carnival and the Uckfield Festival. The Civic Centre plays host to a variety of cultural and popular events.

Attractions nearby include Bentley Wildfowl and Motor Museum, Blackberry Farm and Wilderness Wood, all easily accessible by road.

The Uckfield area has a wonderful selection of high quality accommodation, including pretty self-catering cottages to rent or welcoming B&Bs.

Transport links are excellent with direct train services from London Bridge station and a good local bus service.
